The cut of this Oscar de la Renta dress is simply stunning and the jewellery compliments it perfectly. A pop of colour on the lips gives it that little something special…Perfection!




Sofia Vergara



Talk about knowing how to dress for your body shape.
This Michael Cinco designed dress hugs Sofia in all the right places and the simple hair balances out the floor length sequin gown, ensuring it does not look too fussy!



Kate Hudson



Never one to shy away from a plunging neckline Kate wows again in this Alexander McQueen dress. The metallic collar is bang on trend and although this look would not suit everyone I think Kate pulls it off in style!



Salma Hayek


Pure Hollywood glamour is the only way to describe this look! 
Salma is every inch the vixen in this Gucci gown and leaving the neck bare ensures all eyes are on Salma’s best assets!


The Losers 


 

Zooey Deschanel



It’s not all bad news for Zooey she got the hair and makeup right but unfortunately not the dress. There is way too much fabric and it looks like it needs a good iron! 
Prom queen gone wrong!


 Eva Longoria


One word comes to mind here...Garish!
Lace, pleats, sequins, too many trends in one look never works!



Halle Berry


Halle what were you thinking? This dress is way too fussy and whatever is going on in the middle section is just wrong!




Jennifer Lawrence


Although this colour is beautiful against Jennifer’s skin tone the shape is all wrong! The chest area looks very odd and the bottom half resembles an old fashioned toilet roll cover!




Adele


If you have seen Adele at one awards ceremony you have seen her at them all...boring!



Should have worked but didn’t



Thandie Newton


This dress is stunning on Thandie but bland accessories and bed hair taint the look!




Nicole Richie


Probably my favourite dress of the evening! As always Nicole puts her own twist on this look but the bag takes the focus off the dress and her hair would have looked a lot sleeker pulled to one side.



Amy Phoehler


2 piece suits are definitely hot this season but these trousers are ill fitting and could do with being a couple of inches longer! Plain courts would have complimented this look more than these fussy shoes!



Best Hair and Make up 




Jessica Alba


On a night where the plum and nude lip were uniform Jessica stood out by opting for orange, this may not work for everyone but by keeping the rest of her make up natural she really pulled it off! False lashes and retro hair finish the look!

This is my take on the fashion at the Golden Globes I am sure a lot of people would disagree with me but that’s what makes it interesting, if we all liked the same things and had the same opinions life would be very boring ;) xxxxxxx

All About The Base...

When it comes to make up the most important part of my routine is the skin.  Yes I love a smokey eye, winged liner and perfectly arched brows but a flawless base is what brings any look together! In this blog I will tell you about the products I rely on to achieve that flawless finish. Primer:  I start off with MAC Prep & Prime Skin.  This evens out my skin tone, reduces redness and creates a smooth base for foundation while hydrating the skin.
