My Favourite Mac Products



Ask any girl what her favourite 'high end' make up brand is and the chances are she will say Mac. 
I first discovered Mac Cosmetics about 8 years ago and fell head over heels for the brand. I have built up quite a collection of products over the years, some amazing and others not so good but in this blog I am going to talk about some of my favourites. These are products that I constantly repurchase and would highly recommend to any of my friends.



Studio Fix Fluid Foundation SPF15

 



I have tried numerous foundations over the years but no matter how many brands I flirt with I always go back to my studio fix fluid, the finish is matte and the coverage is beautiful.
Mac describes this as medium buildable, but for me this is a full coverage foundation, it is one of the very few that will cover my blemishes without having to put layers of product on.                              
With a range of nearly 40 shades there will definitely be one for you.



Mac Pigment in Vanilla

 



If you are searching for the perfect highlighter then look no further. Mac Vanilla pigment is an absolutely stunning loose colour powder that is perfect for highlighting cheekbones, the brow-bone and anywhere else that you want to accentuate. 
Place this on the inner corner of the eyelid to create a beautiful effect. Swatch this in the Mac shop and I guarantee you will want to purchase it!



217 Blending Brush

 


If you struggle to master the much sought after ‘smokey eye’ look then you need to purchase a Mac 217 brush. This brush will do all the work for you. Apply your colour using an alternative eyeshadow brush and grab a clean 217 for blending. The smokey eye has never been simpler!


Mac Lipstick in Impassioned

 


This is a really bright pink lipstick with an orangey twist. It is really pigmented and the finish is quite creamy so it won’t dry out your lips. This looks fabulous with or without a gloss. A real stand out shade!

Mac Lipstick in Rebel

 


A beautiful colour on anyone but works especially well on brunettes! This lipstick has a satin finish which means whilst the colour is super rich it will also condition the lips. A must have shade for Autumn/winter!



Mac Mineralize skinfinish natural

 

 


This powder can be used as a bronzer, to set foundation, to contour or even on it’s own to achieve a natural glow. There are 10 shades to choose from. In my opinion this is the perfect powder for all skintypes.



Mac Pro longwear concealer

 


There are so many concealers and correctors to choose from these days and with so many drugstore brands out there it’s hard to know if it is worth your while investing  in a high end one. In my opinion it pays off to splash out on a product like concealer and this is the perfect one for people who suffer from under eye circles and discolouration. It has medium to really full coverage,a matte finish and best of all it does not crease!

Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan Review

With so many tans on the market claiming to be "the best tan ever" it's hard to know which ones are worth trying!  So many come with expensive price tags but that is not always an indication as to how true their claims are. As a pale Irish girl constantly seeking a tan I have tried numerous brands and formulas but never finding that "perfect" one. All About The Base...

When it comes to make up the most important part of my routine is the skin.  Yes I love a smokey eye, winged liner and perfectly arched brows but a flawless base is what brings any look together! In this blog I will tell you about the products I rely on to achieve that flawless finish. Primer:  I start off with MAC Prep & Prime Skin.  This evens out my skin tone, reduces redness and creates a smooth base for foundation while hydrating the skin. Concealer: Like many girls I suffer from breakouts, particularly on my chin.  I like to use Mac Pro Longwear Concealer to cover those spots before I apply foundation.
