Best of 2013

These are products that really stood out for me in 2013 and ones which I would happily recommend to anyone...

Best foundation

Chanel

Vitalumiere Aqua

As a fan of full coverage foundations this one would not have been a typical choice for me. As it says in the name it is water based and does not give a lot of coverage, however after hearing wonderful things about Vitalumiere Aqua I decided that I just had to have it in my life!

The lightweight formula feels so fresh and smooth on your skin you will forget that you are wearing it. If you feel like you are smothering your skin by using full coverage/matte foundations all the time this will be a brilliant alternative for you. It won’t cover blemishes but that’s what concealer is for.
Absolutely Beautiful for daytime make up.

Best mascara

Maybeline

The falsies

Forget Benefit’s “They're Real” In my opinion Maybeline have done a better job with this mascara. It comes with a curved wand which fits into the shape of your lashes meaning it will curl them as well as add volume and length. Try it and I guarantee it will be your new holy grail mascara.

Clinique

bottom lash mascara

I was quite sceptical to try this at first as I thought it sounded like a gimmicky product but I couldn’t have been more wrong.
There is nothing worse than looking in the mirror to check your make up and realising you have been going around with panda eyes all night and this is the solution to that problem. It has a tiny wand which is perfect for getting into every single lash without smudging and it does not transfer onto your skin no matter how long you have it on. Perfect for long nights out or special occasions.

Best Bronzer

Benefit

Hoola

There are so many bronzers out there it was hard to decide which one I thought was the best. Is it worth spending a fortune on the high end one? Aren’t they all the same? If you have managed to find a brilliant drugstore bronzer then good for you but for me spending a bit extra on this product is well worth it!
This powder unlike so many is completely matte which means it is perfect  not only for bronzing  but also for contouring and we all love a bit of contouring these days!
Although it looks quite dark in the pan a little goes a long way so this will even suit those of you that are as fair as myself…it won’t leave your make up bag!

Best Primer

Benefit

porefessional

This silky smooth primer not only feels amazing on your skin, it minimises pores and even fills in fine lines. A perfect base for any make up. It’s oil free and suits every skin type.

Best Highlighter

Mac

Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle

Do you ever get highlighter envy? You see a photo of someone you know looking like they stole Kate Moss’s cheekbones and you’re just dying to know what their secret is? If this sounds like you then you need to get your hands on this baby! This and your benefit Hoola are the perfect combo!

There are so many more amazing products that I would love to talk about but I won't ramble on for any longer.
Thanks for reading xxxxxxxxxx
